Prepare Your Self, Your Client, and Your Practice for Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
It is exceedingly easy to add psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy to your outpatient practice. Not what you’ve heard or imagined? Let me change your mind. For licensed clinicians, it is simple, easy and fast. These medicines fit into our existing work, be it psychoanalytic psychotherapy, DBT, CBT, IFS, mindfulness-focused, somatically-based, narrative therapies, all of it. No need to let dread of extensive training/education derail you from this wildly fabulous new opportunity for the enrichment of your work. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) isn’t a developmental or practice theory requiring a two year advanced-clinical training/education program. It is simply a potent, novel, user-friendly tool to incorporate into your existing practice/approach.

Consent Forms Package $65
The Most Legally Sound KAP Consent Package Available
Why Invest in These Consent Forms?
In the evolving field of Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), we operate in a gray area where the legal and ethical landscape is constantly shifting. Your top priority should always be protecting yourself, your practice, and your clients. That’s why we’ve created this consent package in collaboration with our legal team. Unlike many templates circulating online, these forms have been professionally reviewed by legal experts to ensure they meet essential standards for compliance, clarity, and liability protection.
What’s Included in the Package:
– At-Home Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) Consent & Participation Agreement. Covers expectations, responsibilities, and safety measures for at-home KAP sessions.
– Cheat Sheet: Consent Walkthrough: A reference guide with talking points to help you confidently review consent with clients during sessions.
– Informed Consent & Release Agreement – Risks and Benefits. Clearly outlines the nature of KAP, potential risks, benefits, and client acknowledgments.
– KAP Therapeutic Touch Consent Form: Provides clear boundaries and consent for any physical touch used in therapeutic settings.
– KAP Treatment Safety Precautions and Procedure Consent: Details safety protocols and procedures to maintain best practices during treatment.
Protect yourself, your clients, and your practice. These forms are designed to support ethical, compliant, and transparent care in KAP—because doing this work responsibly is the greatest investment you can make.
Role-Play Demonstration Video Pack $36
KAP Session Demonstration Videos
We have found in our years of training psychotherapists to work in KAP that folx really value a chance to see what KAP actually looks like and how to do it. These are a collection of videos we use to train psychotherapists in working with Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. They are role-play demonstrations of intake sessions, preparation sessions and medicine session journeys.
Initial Intake (20 Minutes)
This video walks the therapist through an initial conversation with several clients interested in KAP. It demonstrates ways to manage fear and expectations, differentiating ketamine from other psychedelics, educating the client about the effects of the medicine, and explaining the KAP treatment process. The video offers snippets of new clients, old clients, stuck clients, harm reduction models, TRD protocol conversations, etc.
Consent to Treatment (7 Minutes)
This is a video demonstration of walking a client through all the nitty gritty details of consenting to KAP treatment, including touch and at-home use protocols. (see consents package for more information)
Touch Refusal Exercise (5 Minutes)
Some KAP clinicians use various forms of touch during medicine sessions. After client and therapist have a consent plan, this is a due-diligence exercise of practice with your clients if you are offering touch as part of your treatment model.
Medicine Journey Session (16 Minutes)
Karen and Sophia role play the beginning of a medicine session, reviewing with the client the details of medicine sessions, managing expectations, fears and anxiety, reviewing protocol for taking the medicine, locking in on their intention, short meditation, taking the medicine, and settling into the journey with occasional check-ins.
Medicine Journey Session Part II (11 Minutes)
In the previous video we demonstrated how most first medicine sessions begin. This video offers examples of when there are some difficulties in the clients settling into the session, and ways you might navigate that.
KAP Client Preparation Package $28
Client preparation for psychedelic assisted psychotherapy begins before the first intake consultation. Providing clients with supplemental psychoeducation at various junctures in the onboarding process significantly beefs up and simultaneously shortens client preparation.
